Plasma and Corona Systems

Surface Treatment Technologies

Plasma and corona treatment are the two main technologies which increase the surface energy and improve adhesion in industrial processes.

Corona treatment applies to continuous materials such as films and flexible packaging, while plasma treatment is for more complex geometries and localized activation.

Selecting the appropriate technology depends on material type, production speed and application requirements.

Choosing the Right Technology

Corona Treatment

Corona treatment increases surface energy by applying high-voltage discharge to continuous materials. It is widely used in film processing, printing and coating applications where high-speed and uniform treatment is required.

  • Continouos material.
  • High speed lines.
  • Lower cost.
  • Standard applications.

Plasma Treatment

Plasma treatment enables precise surface activation on complex parts and three-dimensional geometries. It is suitable for applications where localized treatment and high performance adhesion are required.

  • Complex geometry.
  • Selective treatment.
  • High precision.
  • Multiple materials.

SYSTEMS

CORONA

High-frequency surface activation for continuous materials such as films, foils and laminates.

Improves surface energy to ensure reliable ink adhesion and coating performance across the web.

Power regulation is automatically adjusted according to line speed, ensuring stable and consistent treatment even under variable production conditions.

Available in different working widths and power ranges, adaptable to narrow web, mid web and wide web applications.

Designed for seamless integration into existing lines, with high reliability and minimal maintenance requirements.

PLASMA

Atmospheric plasma enables precise surface activation in specific areas, making it ideal for complex geometries and technical components.

Systems can be with single, dual or multiple plasma guns depending on the required treatment width and process demands, additionally a wide range of nozzles are available, including different radious (up to 110 mm) and needle-type nozzles for highly focused treatment.

Allows localized activation with high control, making it suitable for selective treatment on 3D surfaces or critical zones.

Flexible integration for manual, semi-automatic or fully automated processes.
